Just got done reading an interview from HighTimes, the May 2011 issue, and it's got an interview with Adam Carolla. I would just like to start by giving props to Adam Carolla for being a celebrity with the balls to speak out in the name of the Truth, and Reason. And I'd also like to point out that he is a Polymatheist in the utmost sense of the word. I find that he's not really specialized in any one thing, and in fact, he is an Atheist.
Therefore, I'm adding Adam Carolla to the list of Polymatheists in History.
Some things that Adam had to speak about:
The attitude that general menial peons have with the general public,
"Cops aren't supposed to have an attitude -- not when they're dealing with noncriminals. (emphasis added) Of course Mussolini had an attitude -- the guy was a dictator! Saddam Hussein is supposed to have an attitude. But the chick over at Alaska Airlines who's telling me that I gotta go back to the gate to get my bag because no one told me there was a gate check -- she should drop her fucking attitude. "Obviously pot is not an issue.Methamphetamine is an issue, but politicians never want to make a distiction between the two drugs. Just: "All drugs are drugs, they're all bad, they're all illegal, they should be eradicated, and our kids shouldn't be exposed to any of them." And we all know pot is really nothing and that there are many more drugs -- including alcohol -- that cause much more damage than pot. I found out about five years ago that we spend more money on pot eradication than we do on methamphetamine eradication, and I fucking almost threw up in my mouth."
Dude, I can completely fucking agree. I can't believe in this country, in the year 2011, when we have the benefit of endless amounts of FACTUAL information about all types of drugs, that anyone would advocate that Cannabis should be illegal.
There is no evidence that Cannabis causes any detrimental effects to any part of the body, with the exception of smoking it, which can cause bronchitis through excessive use. However, the Cannabis can't be blamed for this, inhaling the smoke from any plant being burned contains carbon-monoxide and other carcinogenic properties.
Anyway, nowadays, it's not even fashionable to smoke your Cannabis anymore anyway. Most dispensaries, are starting to promote more and more of the edibles, drinks, tinctures, oils, butters, and concentrates for use in vaporizers. Vaporizing is the way to go, seriously, Getting all of the health benefits, and none of the risk.
But anyway, That's all for now, I just wanted to give serious props for Adam Carolla, and congratulations for being top audio podcast at the 2009 iTunes Rewind Awards.
