I myself am a drummer, and love the sound of all percussion. I even play piano, which is also a percussion instrument (if you don't believe me, google it), but anyway, I just want to introduce a new subject which I will talk about in the blog weekly, Drummer of the Week.
This week, I decided to pick Stephen Taylor of Lovers and Liars, which I also decided to make Lovers and Liars the Band of the Week, they have a fantastic album that I recommend you pick up as soon as possible, called Before and After the Awakening.

His drumming style is heavily influenced by Stewart Copeland, Miles Davis, and John Bonham just to name a few.
I love the sound of the album, Before and After the Awakening. It's fantastic, like a futuristic rock record with a mix of a ballad sound with a little bit of technical sound and great progressive influence.
Magnificent record, and a Phenomenal band. Please check them out.
