How can I make a difference?

I have been receiving e-mails lately from Planned Parenthood, because I signed up for their action network at http://istandforplannedparenthood.org And I found that they were sending me information about the current Senate and House Budgets for the fiscal bi-annum of 2011-2013. And they are trying to cut the funding for Planned Parenthood on a federal and state level.

It's absolutely ludicrous, I can't believe that they would be trying to close down Planned Parenthood. This organization does more to prevent teen pregnancy and STD, and also to help save lives with abortions and other medically necessary operations that prevent mothers and babies from dying.

This important organization needs our support, and you can show yours, not financially; but physically, by signing up for the mailing list at http://istandforplannedparenthood.org and getting involved. I called both state senators in the last week, Senator Maria Cantwell and Senator Janea Holmquist-Newbry.

And I just want to remind everyone that while voting is an important aspect to achieving what we need in government.

However, we absolutely need to remind these representatives on a regular basis
what their job is for, and who they represent.

How can you make a difference? Get involved. Find a cause, something, anything that you feel passionate
about, and make an effort. Volunteer, educate, help people understand what we're trying to accomplish.
